Kayaking in Halls Creek

Over the school holidays, The Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries supported our team in Halls Creek by sending up some crew from the Bickely Outdoor Recreation Camp just outside of Perth. For a few weeks over the holidays, Cameron, Tyrell & Sandy from Bickley ran water games and kayaking lessons in the Halls Creek swimming pool.

We would like to thank the shire for letting us run the activities in the swimming pool, it was a hit! Kids in Halls Creek were able to learn life long skills about kayaking, water safety & the ways of the water.

As well as donating equipment such as goggles, frisbees and kayaking essentials, the Bickley crew ran ‘Swim for Fruit’ exercises. Our new 2021 kayaks were delivered by our team in Fitzroy Crossing, and we are looking forward to continuing to run more fun in the water activities this year, thanks to our friends at RAFT UP.
