Head Coach – Kimberley Spirit Female Program

The Kimberley Spirit Football Academy is the Kimberley regions Australian football talent program.

With several years of experience developing male football talent it is time that the Kimberley Spirit Football Academy starts assisting aspiring female footballers from the Kimberley on their way to the WAWFL and AFLW.

Kimberley Spirit is linked to the WA Football Commissions talent pathway and in 2019 will be launching the inaugural Kimberley Spirit Female Program. The program aims to produce “Successful footballers and quality Kimberley people who reach their full potential on and off the field”.

Reporting to the Kimberley Spirit Program Coordinator (Garnduwa Amboorny Wirnan) the commitment required for this role is:

  • Delivering the U/18’s pre-season program in Broome (1 session per week February to April).

  • Delivering the U/18’s pre-camp program in Broome (1 session per week September to

    October).

  •  Coach the inaugural Kimberley Spirit U/18’s Female Team at the 2019 West Coast Eagles Natanui Camp (includes a match with the VSwans Pilbara team – date/location TBC)

Position Responsibilities include:

  •  Training session planning and delivery for the pre-season and pre-camp programs.

  •  Assisting Kimberley Spirit Program Coordinator with player selection where possible (i.e. Kimberley Spirit U/18’s Female Team).

  • Scouting local junior, school and senior football where possible.

  •  Individual Development Plan’s following program conclusion.
