Cooking up kangaroo tail near Lake Gregory was a treat during Garnduwa’s visit to Mulan.

The communities of Billiluna, Balgo and Mulan enjoyed a visit from Garnduwa staff in early September 2014. Smarter than Smoking Active Community Development Officers, Josiah Farrer and Silas Purcell, visited each of the three communities to bring sport together with culture. Josiah and Silas delivered sporting programs in the schools during the day and in the community during the afternoon and evening. The Garnduwa staff were treated to a bit of a different experience when the boys from Mulan took Josiah and Silas to Lake Gregory and cooked them up some kangaroo tail for their tucker. “It was great to see the boys out bush and those boys certainly know their stuff,” Josiah said. The Garnduwa staff really enjoyed their visit and look forward to getting back to the communities in the coming weeks.
