Remote Schools from the Kullarri region made the trip to Beagle Bay on Friday the 7th of August to compete in the Remote Interschool Athletics Carnival that was hosted by Sacred Heart School. Students attended from La Grange, One Arm Point, Djarindjin/Lombadina and Beagle Bay for a day of competitive athletics.

It was truly a great day filled with some close competitions and outstanding sportsmanship shown by the athletes. La Grange Remote Community School finished the day on top by ending with a win by 1 point over Sacred Heart School. The final rankings came down to the last race of the day which was the open relay. The La Grange athletes took it up a notch and ran away with the event win and first place at the carnival.

Congratulations to all the schools and athletes who participated on the day. It was great to watch the improvement in all the athletes. The Remote Schools will now join with each other and create a Remote Schools team to enter in the competition at the West Kimberley Interschool Athletics Carnival that will be held in Broome on the 3rd and 4th of September.
