During Term 3 Garnduwa saw the kids of Kalumburu kicking goals in all areas. In mid-September, six students from Kalumburu Remote Community School spent three days in Kununurra doing work experience in various places around town. Garnduwa was extremely lucky to have the help of Aloysius Bundamurra. He joined on our trip to Glen Hill community and the Clontarf Northwest Championship Football Carnival. Aloysius was extremely helpful and really enjoyed his time with Garnduwa.

Smarter than Smoking Active Community Development Officer Silas Purcell then visited the Kalumburu Community a couple of weeks later to run programs in the school and in the community for the afternoon and evening. The students were well behaved and were engaged in learning about all the various sports and programs that Silas delivered. The kids really did shine when they showed off their skills on the indoor court.
