Garnduwa 2018 Planning
Garnduwa staff from across our Regional Offices: Kununurra, Fitzroy Crossing, Halls Creek, Derby and the Pilbara made the trip to Broome at the beginning of February 2018.
All staff including Broome Office embarked a week-long Personal Development and team building activities workshop, setting up for the 2018 year of program delivery.
The start of the week kicked off at Lotteries House with General Garnduwa Planning at which we were treated with a visit from Eamon Rice from West Australian Football Commission (WAFC) to provide the staff with a WAFC report and the operation of Sports TG system.
The staff then proceeded with the opportunity to upskill with Basketball Community Coaching and the Aussie Hoops course delivered by Liz Muenchow from Basketball Kimberley. The course was held over 2 half days giving the staff the ability to deliver the Aussie Hoops program in each of our regions.
On Wednesday all staff met at the KAMS office to participate in Aboriginal Mental Health First Aid Training (AMHFA).
It was an early morning start on Thursday with a 1hr Yoga session for all staff with a short break before continuing on with the AMHFA Training for the remainder of the day. Wednesday afternoon had all staff engage in a team building exercise at the local mini golf and finished of the day with a Staff dinner.
Friday morning, staff headed back to the Lotteries House to finish off the week with Garnduwa Administration including processes and protocol before the staff made their trip home to the respective regions.
