The excited kids of Yurmulun Community endured the scorching Northwest sun to welcome the return of some familiar faces in 2015. Fair Game WA in conjunction with Garnduwa delivered an afternoon of activities in Yurmulun Community for the January School Holiday break. The Fair Game volunteers introduced some fun activities including Rob the Nest, Buckets and Wedge-Tailed Eagle which the younger kids loved and were followed by a game of basketball for the older kids. After their exercise the kids had a healthy treat of fruit and plenty of cold water to quench their thirst and keep them hydrated in the soaring temperatures.

Our afternoon plans had to be changed because the wet season Kimberley weather brought in storm clouds which delivered some refreshing coolness but also some dangerous thunder and lightning. The kids were not ready to stop the fun but eventually we had to end the day early to keep everyone safe and then Mother Nature rain down. It was a great day for all involved and seeing the kids’ excited faces made the day complete.
