High School Girls Football Carnival in Fitzroy Crossing

Fitzroy Valley District High School, Derby District High School and Halls Creek District High School took part in a high school girls football carnival in Fitzroy Crossing last week (22/11).

As part of the Western Australia Country Health Service and Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries funded Game Changers Program over 50 girls played some outstanding football across 6 games each.

The girls also participated in health and wellbeing sessions provided by WACHS. Credit to all the girls who particpated and graduates of the Game Changers program from Derby.

Thanks to Clare Webber, Helen Ockerby, Samantha Little and Leon for volunteering on the day. Thanks also to Shooting Stars, Derby District High School, Halls Creek District High School, WA Country Mental Health and Department Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries for making this day possible!

Let’s get more footy carnivals happening in the Kimberley.
